Building Structures [ARC2522/2523]
Truss is a structure built up of three or more members which are normally considered being pinned and hinged at the joints. We were to develop understandings of tension and compression strenght of construction materials. Objects also looked at understanding the foce of distributions in a truss and a perfect truss bridge.
The learning outcomes:
Able to evaluate and improve attributes of construction materials.
Explore and apply understanding of load distribution in a truss.
Able to evaluate and identify tension and compression members in a truss.
Explore different arrangement of members in atruss structure.
In this project, it was where i understood what documentation and workmanship was like. It was to go through a process of trial and error before getting a good result to present with.
