Aim

The aim of this project is to generate form and space through architectural conceptualisation, with the emphasis on exploring the user requirement and simple spatial organization skills and design intentions to develop an architectural proposition. Students will be shown the importance of using the art of crafting and making: drawing(s) and model(s) as a critical design tool as part of the design process.

Design process

Project 2b we were to design a Tea House concept in Cameron Highlands. In group of 2 we chose Japan as our study of tea culture. These exploration are examples of our ideas to combine slopes and contours as concepts.

Project 2(c)

Learning outcomes

Objectives of this project is:

To introduce th notion of concepts, program and process in architectural design

To introduce the notions of space, form and function in architectural design

To introduce the awareness of site specific design and the process of site analysis

This model above was the third evolving model that was made. Spatial changes was most focused in that shaped the model and floorplan.

This model on the left is the first exploration of this project, it represents where the shape came from.

The second model on the right shows the evolution of model 1.
